The new California Sick Leave Law that took effect on July 1, 2015 requires all employers to adopt a paid sick leave policy. This law applies to all private and public sector employers regardless of size and covers all employees, including part-time workers. It is crucial for all employers to understand what the new mandate involves, and to have a working knowledge of how to become, and remain in compliance with state regulations.
